Meditation CD Script
(Introduction
Track)
Band one - Instructions Hello Friend. This meditation
will transport you to a place in consciousness that is deeper and more
relaxed than words can describe. Do not listen to this meditation while
driving or operating machinery. Choose a safe and quiet environment where
you can sit for an hour in a very comfortable chair, preferably with your
feet flat on the floor. You will choose a time when you will not be
disturbed; turned off the phones and other devices that make noise, and
lowered the lights. Know that if there is an emergency that requires your
attention, you will be able to quickly leave the meditation and attend to
it with alertness and clear thinking - if this happens, wait 24 hours
before resuming this meditation. This meditation will lead you to a sacred
place within and beyond your mind where you will access infinite wisdom
and profound inspiration. You may also learn actions you may take to
complete forgotten dreams. Let's prepare now to meditate .
.
(Meditation CD Track2)
Now in your very comfortable chair that supports you
with your feet on the floor, adjust your body into a comfortable, relaxed
upright position. (1 minute) Gently close your eyes. Move your attention
to your right foot. Begin relaxing your body by briefly tensing and
releasing the muscles starting with the right foot and then the left foot.
With each body part silently tell yourself, "I feel quite quiet. I am
relaxed and at peace." Move to the right ankle and then the left, the
right and left leg, hips, abdomen, inner organs, chest and back, neck and
facial muscles, slowly working up to the scalp. Take a few minutes to do
this. Feel the tension draining away, flowing down through your body and
out through the soles of your feet. (Four minutes)
Allow your jaw and your shoulders to drop, feeling even
more quiet and at peace. Allow my voice to guide you as though it is
coming from within you as your own voice. Let the sound of my voice be as
if it were your own voice flowing from a deep well of innner wisdom within
you. Imagine this inner source as an infinitely flowing stream of calmness
and quiet relaxation. Say silently to yourself several times, "I am quite
quiet." (one minute)
Every time a thought arises - regardless of its nature
- inquire into it's source. Ask, "Who has this thought? From where does
this thought rise?" Feel what rises in response to your inquiry. If you
feel angry or upset or afraid, ask Who or what feels upset or afraid. (15
seconds) Inwardly direct your thinking into the feeling of "I" and follow
the "Isense" inward to the source from which it comes, to its very
source. (30 seconds) During this inner quest, the original feeling or
thought will dissolve. Then, a deep, steady, blissful feeling of general
well being will surface. Feel this or imagine it as this quiet release
moves through your mind, (30 seconds) Say silently to yourself, "I am
opening now to a deeper state of inner wisdom. I have a mind, but I am
more than my mind."
Now place your attention on your breath and breathe
deeply allowing your abdomen to expand with each breath. Exhale completely
through your mouth, gently touching the tip of your tongue to the roof of
your mouth as you let the breath out. Staying totally alert, keep your
attention on your entire breathing process. Now when your mind jumps or
moves into anything else, gently but firmly bring it back and continue to
watch the mechanism of breathing. Closely observe and feel the rising of
the chest, the expansion of the diaphragm, as you inhale. Observe and feel
the falling of the chest, and contraction of the diaphragm, as you exhale.
Notice that the breath is similar to water pouring in and filling a
balloon, the breath seems more like liquid than air. This fullness is a
most pleasant feeling. Become aware of a distinctive fullness of energy
permeating your breath.(3-5 minutes)
Your breath is the way your body is energized to carry
you into all your experiences in the outer world. Your body has a past,
lives in a present moment, and moves toward a future of it's own. The body
carries with it an inner person which we will soon contact. Say silently
to yourself, " I have a body, but I am more than a body."
In your imagination move to a still, deep place of
peace in the center of your body. You will find this respite and tranquil
space located just behind your heart. (30 seconds) Become even more quiet.
It feels very nice to become so quiet...to enter this
serene sanctuary of peaceful being. (60 seconds)
Now allow yourself, the "I" of you, to slip quietly
behind the space at the center, into the timelessness of inner space. It
is like falling through the seconds on a clock into another dimensional
field. Feel a sense of
wonder as this safe world carries you
away from the present which simply dissolves and disappears. (two minutes)
The fundamental and ultimate truths of
existence fill this dimension and the "I" of you becomes one with timeless
wisdom that permeates and fills you. You feel a sense of wonder as
untapped capacities of awareness are activated at various levels of your
being. Intuitively you know that who you are is so much greater than you
ever understood Experience and feel this inner space. You may experience
the "I" of you vanishing as you identify with a larger consciousness on
oneness, the presence creating and holding this inner world. (three
minutes)
Leaving this timeless inner space, we
begin to integrate the deep perceptions gained from infinite wisdom into
our mind and body. (two minutes)
Hold these thoughts as your own. All the
aspects of my psyche have been altered and adjusted to cause my life to
flow with greater awareness. An inner gathering on my personal subjective
level is integrating my personality for a greater enjoyment and the
successful pursuit of a productive life. Each time I revisit this
meditation I will benefit. I will gain and retain larger contexts of
meaning, growing and unfolding greater potentials for my life. My repeated
meditations will form a bridge between my unconscious and conscious worlds
and I will articulate my knowledge and capability in things I did not know
I knew.
Now move your attention up behind your
eyes and when you are ready, stretch and move your fingers and toes and
return to the present. (three minutes)
