Mindfulness in Guided Meditation 2
A new participant to meditation is able to experiment with different types
of guided meditation before choosing the correct method that will be most
effective for him or her. Each meditation guide has a different technique
and way of performing the exercises. Each participant can find the easiest
technique that works most effectively. Guided meditation is meant to help
relieve stress and allow the participant to get in touch with their deep
inner self. Mindfulness guided meditation is a specific technique that
allows many meditation participants to feel at peace and achieve a
successful meditative state. Mindfulness guided meditation is a form of
meditation that is dedicated to allowing the participant to get in touch
with their inner core and inner self. A “calm awareness” is the goal of
mindfulness guided meditation because this awareness allows the
participant to go deeper inside their own self and feel their inner
essence. When the meditator is able to achieve this calm awareness, he or
she will have reached a concentrative stage of the meditation process. In
this stage of meditation, the person should not simply be focusing on one
specific thought but should be open to receive and release thoughts and
feelings as they come. As long as the meditator is able to stay in this
concentrative state, this motion of thoughts shouldn’t be distractive but
should allow them to go even deeper into meditation. Mindfulness guided
meditation is focused on bringing the participant to a deeper level of
self understanding.
The guide who performs mindfulness guided meditation has the participants
focus intensely on their breath. By staying in control of their breath and
keeping a rhythm of breathing in and out, the meditation participant is
able to stay in a pattern and concentrate more deeply. Guided meditation
and the sound of a guide’s voice can also help meditators to focus more
deeply on their breath and keeping the pattern consistent.
One of the most important factors in mindfulness guided meditation also
involves the posture of the participant. It is important for the meditator
to find a quiet and peaceful place to perform the meditation exercises.
The person should sit down on the floor and keep the spine as straight as
possible throughout the guided meditation session. This environment should
be somewhere that the participant feels safe and comfortable.
The guided meditation participant should also make sure their body is in a
comfortable position. The meditator can cross his or her legs or tuck them
behind the body. Breathing should be easy and the back should be straight
so the lungs can easily breath in and out deeply. The guide that walks the
participant through the exercises is also usually able to give
instructions on the correct form and breathing techniques that will be
most effective for the students.
By getting deeper in touch with the inner self, many people have found
that mindfulness guided meditation is a great way to relieve stress. Those
who participate are finding that concentrating at a deeper level and
letting thoughts come in a calm manner has been a peaceful and serene
experience. |
